2007 Calendar

Our regular meetings are held the 3rd Thursday of each month, at 7:00 p.m. at the Second Presbyterian Church, at 600 Pleasant Valley Dr., Room 65 (close to the I-430 and Cantrell intersection), in West Little Rock.

January

18th, monthly meeting.  Program:  George Purvis, retired AR Game & Fish biologist and photographer

 

February

9th, UAMS Library exhibit reception

15th, monthly meeting.  Program:  Dominic Rossetti

Glory Hole, field trip

March

15th, monthly meeting. Program:  Tim Ernst, we will meet same time at the Church at Rock Creek for the March meeting

17th, Little Rock Zoo, 7:30 AM Southeast Gate $4.00)

31st, Garvan Woodland Gardens - Tulips - RAIN DELAY - Rescheduled for April 7th..

April

7th, Garvan Woodland Gardens.  We are going to leave at 7:30 A.M. Saturday from the commuter parking lot at I-430 / I-630.

19th, monthly meeting will be at UALR Ottenheimer Library for exhibit reception and open projector.

21st, Champions Tree Trail - The April Field Trip will meet at the commuter parking lot at I-430 / I-630 (SOUTH END) @ 7:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 21st.  We will carpool to the visitor center in St Charles on the field trip to the White River.

10th, 2007 Little Rock Zoo photo contest deadline

May

17th, monthly meeting. Program:  Robert Herron

19th, Devil's Den State Park - Leave the I-40 Morgan exit McDonald's at 7:30 AM to car pool or meet at the Devil's Den State Park Visitors Center at 10:00 AM.  Contact Tim Donar for more information.

June

21st, monthly meeting. Program:  Bill Branham will present two ProShow Gold programs of his favorite images.  Most of these are birds and insects, with some scenic and waterfall photos.

16th, Mt. Magazine - The butterflies and wildflowers should be abundant and are very photogenic. Meet at the McDonalds in Morgan at 7:00 A.M. and leave shortly afterwards. Ernie Decker will be leading this one so look for him.

July

19th, monthly meeting. Program:  Dr. Martin Hauer-Jensen will discuss "Underwater Photography"

21st, Blanchard Springs - We will attempt to tour both caves as well as the waterfall if time and energy permits. The caves are "first come first served", we made " NO Reservations."  We will meet at the usual spot, The Commuter  Parking Lot @ I-630 – I-430 @ about 6:30 A.M. You may bring a lunch or pick something up along the way or at the park. You may also want a change of cloths / swim suit as the weather " WILL BE HOT " and one may want to " COOL OFF" after taking a lot of photographs. 15th, monthly meeting. Program:  Kim Godfrey will talk about a recent trip she took to Africa to photograph Mountain Gorillas.

18th, “The JANET & MIKE WILDLIFE AREA” at “PINE BLUFF” on SUNDAY November 18th.< NOTE THE DAY CHANGE> WE will meet at the Commuter Parking Lot @ I-630 / I-430 @ 1:30 P.M. to give everyone time to attend CHURCH.
