Field Trips 2007

Our club schedules a field trip, usually to a location within the state, on a Saturday each month. An occasional overnight trip is scheduled also. All times “TBA.” Their will also be several “OPTIONAL” field trips: May require a higher degree of hiking/GPS / more food/water. Field Trip - Eagles Et Cetera

February

17th, The “AOPC” February field trip will be to the “GLORY HOLE.” We’ll meet at the parking lot by McDonald’s in Morgan on February 17th @ 7:00 A.M. and carpool from their. Questions call Michael Dupslaff at 501-912-2684.

17th, Little Rock Zoo, 7:30 AM Southeast Gate $4.00

31st, Garvan Woodland Gardens - RAIN DELAY - Rescheduled for April 7th..

April

7th, Garvan Woodland Gardens.  We are going to leave at 7:30 A.M. Saturday from the commuter parking lot at I-430 / I-630.

21st, Champions Tree Trail - The April Field Trip will meet at the commuter parking lot at I-430 / I-630 (SOUTH END) @ 7:30 A.M. on Saturday, April 21st.  We will carpool to the visitor center in St Charles on the field trip to the White River.

May

19th, Devil's Den State Park - Leave the I-40 Morgan exit McDonald's at 7:30 AM to car pool or meet at the Devil's Den State Park Visitors Center at 10:00 AM.  Contact Tim Donar for more information.

June

16th, Mt Magazine - The butterflies and wildflowers should be abundant and are very photogenic. Meet at the McDonalds in Morgan at 7:00 A.M. and leave shortly afterwards. Ernie Decker will be leading this one so look for him.

July

21st, Blanchard Springs - We will attempt to tour both caves as well as the waterfall if time and energy permits. The caves are "first come first served", we made " NO Reservations."  We will meet at the usual spot, The Commuter  Parking Lot @ I-630 – I-430 @ about 6:30 A.M. You may bring a lunch or pick something up along the way or at the park. You may also want a change of cloths / swim suit as the weather " WILL BE HOT " and one may want to " COOL OFF" after taking a lot of photographs.
